AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING LOITERING NEAR OR AROUND
ANY PRIVATE RESIDENCE, PLACE OF BUSINESS OR ANY
PUBLIC PLACE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11:00 O'CLOCK
P.M. AND 6:00 O'CLOCK A.M.; PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION
OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That from and after the effective date
of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person
or persons to loiter or loaf near or around any private
residence, place of business, public street or any
public place in the City of Allen between the hours of
11:00 o'clock P.M. and 6:00 o'clock A.M.
SECTION 2: Any person found guilty of violating
the terms of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor, shall be
fined any sum not to exceed $200.00.
SECTION 3: The caption of this Ordinance shall
be published one (1) time in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City of Allen, Texas, and
shall be effective immediately upon such publication.
SECTION 4: The fact that the City of Allen, Texas,
does not now have an Ordinance which covers the subject
matter of this Ordinance creates an emergency and imperative
public necessity, this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and publication.
Duly passed and approved by the Council of the
City of Allen, Texas, on this the Vq day of
