The called - special session of the Allen City Council was
called to order by Mayor Rodenbaugh at 7:32 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 11, 1984, in the Council Chambers of the Allen Municipal
Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Rate
for the Fiscal Year 1984 - 85 (Agenda Item II)
Mayor Rodenbaugh asked the City Council if there was any
discussion prior to the opening of the public hearing. There
being no discussion, Mayor Rodenbaugh opened the public hearing.
With no one requesting to speak before the Council on the
tax rate, Mayor Rodenbaugh closed the public hearing.
City Manager Jon McCarty advised the Council that he had
prepared some comparative information on tax rates between the
City of Allen and other adjacent municipalities and was prepared
to present those to the Council at this meeting or at the next
regular City Council meeting. There was no further discussion.
The Council briefly discussed the action to be taken at
this meeting.
Set Meeting Date to Meeting Date to Adopt Tax Rate Rate (Agenda Item III)
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilman Paxton and seconded by
Councilman Wolfe, the Council voted 5 - 0 to set Thursday,
September 20, 1984, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers
of the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen,
Texas, as the date, time, and place for the adoption of
the tax rate for the fiscal year 1984 - 85. The motion
carried.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Mayor Pro Tem Farmer and seconded by
Councilman McClure, the Council voted 5 - 0 to adjourn
the called - special session at 7:43 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 11, 1984. The motion carried.
