MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Raines and seconded by committee
member Carroll, the committee voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to accept
minutes from the October 18, 2016 regular meeting as amended to change Sandy
Wittsche to Susan Barry in Item 3 - Appoint Two Members to the Governor's
Community Achievement Award Project Selection Panel.
Discussion Items
2. Update on Current Projects
Matt McComb shared the latest May and Watkins presentation for Watters Branch Community
Park. The Committee reviewed, noting that the tractor seats and benches in the earlier renderings
look more organic and that is somewhat lost in the latest concept sketches. The Committee
would like to request that they are more blended and less symmetrical. There was some concern
' that they are a bit feminine as presented in the latest drawings. The height of the interpretative
signs was also discussed and the Committee felt like 24 inches on the front edge would be the
ideal height.
