Speight, R.R. Carroll & Fred W. Day were sworn in by the Town Secy. A.C. Story. Members present----- V.B. Watson-Mayor O.E. Lynge-Alderman R.G. Butler-" L.P. Speight-" R.R Carroll-" Fred W. Day**-" Ex member W.E. Ford was also present. Motion by R.G. Butler to elect O.E. Lynge MAYOR Pro-tempore for the next year, motion sec. by L.P. Speight. Four for -- none against. Motion by O.E. Lynge to get as mcuh as three bids on material for A fence to inclose the WELL PROPERTY, five-for -- none-against. Motion by Fred Day if money from the Waterworks systems construc- tion fund can be used for PAINTING THE INSIDE OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT BUILDING to go ahead with the painting as soon as possible, and to have as much as three bids on this job, this motion sec. by O.E. Lynge. Five-Ayes -- noes-none. Motion by O.E. Lynge that the Town Coucel set aside $250.00 for the purpose of buying eleven chairs (ten for alderman and one for mayor) also one dozen folding chairs. Try as many as three dealers. This motion was second by L.P. Speight. Five for and none against. Motion by R.G. Butler to close the bid on pump house. Motion second by L.P. Speight Sold to O.E. Lynge for $11.00 5 for and none against Motion by O.E. Lynge to except the fire truck from the Allen Fire department. Motion second by R.R. Carroll. 5 for and none against Motion by O.E. Lynge for the town councel to except the expences on the fire truck that are okayed by the fire chief. Second by R.G. Butler. 5 for and none against
