A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING TOWING AND STORAGE FEES; PROVIDING
A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen desires to establish various towing and storage fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby establishes towing and storage fees for vehicles and property removed
from a highway as set forth in the attached Schedule of Removal and Storage Fees, and which is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. All resolutions in conflict with the provisions hereof, be, and they are hereby, repealed.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly so
resolved.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE22ND DAY OF MAY 2018.

SCHEDULE OF REMOVAL AND STORAGE FEES
(I)
Basic towing charges for vehicles utilizing a light duty wrecker
$125.00
(2)
Basic towing charges for vehicles utilizing a medium duty wrecker
$175.00/hr
(3)
Basic towing charges for vehicles utilizing a heavy duty wrecker
$250.001hr
(4)
Basic towing charges for a trailer
$125.00/hr
(5)
Basic towing charges for motorcycles
$125.00

Additional Fees:
a. Towing charge when dolly is used
$0.00
b. Change wheel and tire
$50.00
c. If winch is required, cost per foot after 50 ft.

d. Flat rate to upright vehicle
$45.00
e. Use and cleanup of absorbent material

Heavy duty wrecker, per hour

g. Mileage fee outside City per mile (excluding mileage to the storage yard)

Fuel surcharge will be allowed when diesel fuel prices exceed $3.00 per gallon
based on the national cost average.

Storage and notification fees will he charged as set by the State of Texas.
(9)
Incident management fee is allowed on crashes or incidents that require the
tow company to summons an incident manager for the tow company to respond
to the scene to manage or call in additional resources.

Incident management fee requiring additional equipment and resources
(in 15 minute increments) - not to include delays relating to police officer
investigations
