1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
With a quorum of the members present, the TRIAD Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell,
President Stocker and Chair O'Reilly at 6 11 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010, in the Multipurpose
Room at the Allen Senior Recreation Center located at 451 St Mary Drive, Allen, Texas.
2. Allen ISD Facilities Project Updates.
Dr. Helvey introduced the item and discussed the importance of the partnership the District
has with the City.
Mr. Tarpley provided an update on bond projects at Allen High School, Career Tech Center,
Performing Arts Center, Fine Arts Hall, Eagle Stadium, Service Center, and Curtis Middle
School.
3. Update Regarding the Tennis Courts at Celebration Park.

iMr. Deader provided an update on the tennis courts construction at Celebration Park. The
courts will be completed by June 7, 2010. This facility is being constructed with the latest
technology available with regards to lighting and will feature line stripping that is used at the
site of the U.S. Open.
4. Briefing Regarding the 2010 Census.
Mr. Bass provided an overview of the history and reason for Census.
Mr. Battle provided a briefing on the activities of the Census Count Committee established
by the City He also provided statistical information with regards to past Censuses and
projected Census information for 2010. Current responses from Allen respondents exceed
the averages for the County, State and U.S. respondents.
5. Items of Interest. [Announcements Regarding Local Civic and Charitable Events, A -feelings,
Fundraisers and Awards]
• Next TRIAD Meeting/Monday, November 1, 2010—Chamber of Commerce will host
• Community Announcements
- April 14 — City / AISD Candidate Forum hosted by the Chamber of Commerce
- Ms. May thanked the Council, District and Chamber for their support of the Allen
1Community Outreach.
6. Adjournment.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Mayor Pro Tem Stout and a second by Counmlmember Herald, the
Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the
Allen City Council at 6:57 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010. The motion carried
