PUBLIC MEETING - GLENDOVER PARK
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Jim Waldbauer called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. INTRODUCTION, BACKGROUND AND PROCESS - DON HORTON
Don Horton provided a brief welcome and explanation of the process being
proposed for this evenings meeting to the invited guests.

3. PRESENTATION BY DAVID BALDWIN, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
David Baldwin did a brief background presentation, along with two options for
the guests to review and respond to.

Comments received on the two proposals made by David Baldwin, Architect are
as follows:
One park more expensive than other (Glendover vs Bethany Ridge)
No, equal facility
Likes "B" - more centralized plan
Will drainage be an issue on plan "A" for volleyball court
No
Lighting in park?
Not normally in a neighborhood park
Plan "B" trail all the way around the park
Will pond be stocked
yes
Li Concrete material for trail
Yes
May add more benches

Wood fiber in playground fall zone
Picnic tables near lake would be nice
That can be done
Clean existing fence row - remove barbed wire
Will grass be planted
Yes, especially in open play area
Irrigation in open play area
Yes
Like volleyball courts
Are basketball and tennis courts a possibility?
Could be done to a master plan, possibly for future funding - not at
present.
Separate playground with pavilion to southern part of park
How wide are trails inside park area?

Tables, pad and grills with a water fountain will be placed in park

Comments received on the two proposals made by David Baldwin, Architect are
as follows.
Add trees to western portion of park
Possibly wildflower area
Want sidewalk along Bethany
Like berms along Bethany
Trees will be Eastern Red Cedar, Pine, and very "full" trees
Split rail fence or stone wall along Bethany a good idea
Mosquito control questioned
Prefer playground in environmental colors (rather than primary colors)
Like fishing pier concept
Like plan "B" pavilion
Like plan "A" playground
3" caliper trees approved
Would like Master Plan scanned and put on website when prepared.

Discussion was held regarding the meeting held on February 23 regarding Reed
Park and the input received.
