Clark Condon Associates presented the latest designs for Malone Community Park to the
Council and Park and Board Members. This item will appear on the Consent Agenda at
the next Regular meeting of the Allen City Council.

j 1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice -Chair Anne Campbell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM MARCH 12, 2001 REGULAR CALLED
MEETING
MOTION: Carl Clemencich moved to accept the Minutes from March 12,
2001 Regular Called Meeting as presented. Ben Ferguson
seconded and the Motion tamed, 5 for, 0 against.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
There were no residents present wishing to speak at this time. Larry Kirk took the
opportunity to introduce Jennifer Brown as the newly hired Aquatic Supervisor,
and Teresa Warren as the newly hired Marketing Coordinator. Both employees
gave a brief background on themselves as well as anticipated plans for the Parks
and Recreation Department.
4. REVIEW AND PRIORITIZATION OF PROJECTS BEING PROPOSED
TO THE ALLEN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD
Don Horton made a presentation to the Board members that outlined the eight
projects being proposed by the Parks and Recreation Board to the Allen
Community Development Corporation Board for funding. Along with these
projects were background information on each as well as a priority number.
Following the presentation and a brief discussion, the Board members indicated a
strong desire to move the Hillside Renovations up from Priority # 6 to Priority #4.
There was full agreement that this facility should be a priority for renovations.
MOTION: Vicki Wester moved to accept the following list of proposed
projects along with the following priorities for recommendation to
the Allen Community Development Corporation Board
Priority 1 - Malone Community Park
Priority 2 — Story Park
Pnonty 3 — Allen Station Park Planning
Priority 4 — Hillside Park
Priority 5 — Mobile Sound Stage
Priority 6 — Youth/Senior Center(s) Study

Priority 7 — Tree Farm
Priority 8 — Spray Rig
Carl Clemencich seconded and the Motion carred 5 for, 0 against.
5. OTHER BUSINESS
Ben Ferguson indicated a broken water fountain at Allen Station Park on the
Baseball Field.
The Board members were reminded that the Allen Community Development
Corporation Board will be meeting on April 16 and be reviewing the Parks and
Recreation Department proposals at that time.
6. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9 p.m.
