1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Vice -Chair Carl Clemencich called the Regular Parks and Recreation Board
Meeting to Order at 6:37 p.m.
2. CITIZENS COMMENTS
There were no guests wishing to speak at this time.

1 3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM MAY 8, 2004 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Gary Moore moved to approve the Minutes from April 12, 2004
Regular Meeting as presented. Joey Herald seconded and the
Motion carried 5 for, 0 against.
4. 2004 ALLEN USA FESTIVITIES STAFF UPDATE
Shannon Craft, Recreation Specialist with the Parks and Recreation Department
was present to provide a brief update on the festivities planned for this year's
Allen USA Celebration — June 26, 2004. Shannon invited the Park Board to act as
host and hostesses for the VIP tent the evening of the event, welcoming all to the
tent. This year's entertainment and sponsorships were reviewed by Shannon,
along with minor changes to the event from the 2003 Allen USA Celebration.
5. ITEMS FOR BOARD MEMBERS DISCUSSION
Cheryl Lawson — concerned over the diving board at Ford Pool being broken.
Carl Clemencich — questioned if the City had received flooding concerns from
residents in the Twin Creeks subdivision following the heavy rains of the past few
weeks. He had witnessed the pond in his neighborhood rising to the top of the
banks.
6. OTHER BUSINESS
Staff Updates
Tim Dentler reported that the City would be moving ahead with the
purchase of a piece of residential property located in Allenwood Estates to
be developed as parkland. On June 28, staff will be approaching the
Community Development Corporation Board for funding for both
purchase and development.
Also, Tim Derider informed the board that on June 22, staff would be
going to City Council with a purchase agreement on the Chase Oaks Golf
Course.

Personnel, Section 551.074; Staff Presentations, Section 551.075

As Authorized by Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code, the
Workshop Meeting and/or the Regular Meeting may be convened into
Closed Executive Session for the purpose of Seeking Confidential Legal
Advice from the City Attorney on any Agenda Item Luted Herein.
(Closed to the Public as Provided in the Texas Government Code.)
There was no need to convene the Executive Session.
8. RECONVENE AND CONSIDER ACTION ON ITEMS DISCUSSED
DURING EXECUTIVE SESSION
No Executive Session was called.
9. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7 p.m.
