Bryan Rauscher, Golf Services Manager reported that he had surveyed golf courses
within a 30 mile radius of Chase oaks for fee information during this process.
Tim indicated staff would likely be asking Council to consider establishing a range
that would allow the City Manager to set the fees within that range. This would
give staff great flexibility in staying competitive with the market.
Mother proposal regarding Chase Oaks that will likely move forward in
conjunction with the fees will be the proposed closing of Chase Oaks on Mondays.
Staff has researched the savings of $188,000 per year should the facility close on
Mondays.
Following this presentation, the Board indicated their support for staff to move
forward with a recommendation to City Council for adoption.
