regular meeting
1. minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved
2. a hearing was held on the petition of Tom Cates to change the zoning classification
of lots 3b-4-5-9a-10a block 15 old donation from r-16 to oc for the puose of installation
of a car wash. those speaking not in favor of this change were rob patterson and ronnie
mckinney. in favor were frank dutton, virgil half, and pat terrell joined in the disucssion.
the subject of james r. wirt's petition to change the zoning classification of lots 2b-3a
block 15 old donation from r-16 to oc was brought up since the wirt and cate property
are adjasent. ... carr spoke in opposition to mr. wirt's request
mr. wirt was not present.
motion by bill enloe to table mr. wirts request until he contacts the commission. second
mickey pierson, motion carried 4 for none against
motion by bill enloe to take under advisement mr. cate's petition and ask for legal opinion
on restricting usage within a zoning classification. second mickey pierson, motion
carried 4 for none against.
the chairman set jan. 22 1973 as the next meeting
3. a hearing was held on the petition of donald b lortscher to change the zoning classification
on lots 2a-2b block h old donation from r-16 to oc for the purpose of erecting a plant
nursery. pat tenell spoke in favor of the request. jean carr, ed ereckson, and tom cates
spoke in opposition to the zoning change.
motion by bill enloe to table mr. ... request pending the legal question under mr. cate's
request and reconsider it at the meeting
to be held jan. 22, 1973. second mickey pierson, motion carried 4 for none against
4. mr. d. adney requested information relative to erecting a business building on his
property. he was advised that his property is in an lf classification which is sutiable for
the type building he had in mind
5. mr. charles g. starnes requested information on changing the lot size requirements in
fountain park number 3
6. the next meeting was set for jan. 22, 1973.
