HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - Planning and Zoning Commission - 1972 - 02/07 - RegularFeb. 7, 1972 Regular meeting presiding: chairman Elo Zinke members present: Ken Posey, Howard Snider members absent: Bill LaGrone, Bill Enloe present for the City: Walter Curtis 1. a public hearing was held on the petition of Mr. Neil Holm to change the zoning classification from A to C, D, & E on 12.00 acres of land located in Hillside Village addition David Wetsel survey abstract #977 and described in the field notes supplied by Mr. Holm. His reason for the change is to have zoning to allow townhouses. Mr. Holm had also asked in his original petition for a zoning change on a tract of land which he will donate to the city of Allen for a park site. At Mr. Zinke's suggestion he will submit a separate application for this tract thereby having a clear record of Mr. Holm's intention to donate the property for use as a park site only. Motion by Howard Snider to approve the requested zoning change from A to C, D, & E for the purpose of the building townhouses. second Ken Posey. motion carried, 3 for none against. 2. a request for zoning change to establish an industrial park was received from Mr. Neil Holm. a hearing was set for Feb. 21, 1972 3. Mr. Jack Cook of West & Browning presented a preliminary plat of the High Meadows addition, second installment. a lenghty discussion was held with Mr. Cook. Motion by Ken Posey to approve the preliminary plat of the second installment High Meadows addition. Second Howard Snider, Motion carried 3 for, none against. 4. Mr. WJ Shepard of Duncan-Strawn presented a preliminary plat of the second section of the fountain park addition. a thorough discussion was held. motion by Howard Snider to approve the perliminary plat of the second section of the fountain park addition. second Ken Posey. motion carried 3 for, none against. 5. Mr. Elo Zinke disclosed that he has resigned from the commission for the reason that he will be moving from Allen in the near future 6. the next meeting was set for Feb. 21, 1972 7. meeting adjourned
