Don Francis having been appointed by the Mayor and Council to fill the vacancy following Elo Zinke's resignation was welcomed to the commission. 2. in accordance with the by-laws of the commission an election was held to fill the chairmanship vacancy created by Elo Zinke resignation. Howard Snider was elected and presided over the remainder of the meeting. 3. a public hearing was held on the request for zoning change to JK&L by Mr. Neil Holm for 110 acres situated west of Highway 5 extending west to the souther pacific railroad tracks bounded on the south by the county road by the wood's house and on the north by the proposed extension of Bethany Drive. no one appeared to oppose the zoning change motion by Ken Posey to recommedn the zoning change as requested. second Bill Enloe, motion carried 5 for, none against 4. a proposal was made to amend the by-laws article IV, section 1, changing the Regular Meeting date to the first Monday night of each month. this amendment will be voted on at the March regular monthly meeting and must be approved by the city council before becoming effective 5. Howard Snider will seek clarification of the mayor and council's intention as to the term of appointments to the commission. 6. commission members agreed that a special letter should be written to the mayor and council expressing recognition of Mr. Neil Holm's donation of a park site. 7. a meeting was called for Feb. 25, 1972 to work on the proposed zoning ordinance. 8. meeting adjourned
