HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - Planning and Zoning Commission - 1972 - 03/20 - Regular3/20/72 1. a discussion of off-street parking at the proposed assembly of God church site on Cedar Street was held with Mr. OL Andrews builder. From the proposed zoning ordinance the smallest number of parking spaces was computed by dividing the total bench length in inches by 90. the resulting number was 25 motion by Ken Posey to recommend to the City Council that 25 parking spaces be required at the location discussed. second Bill LaGrone, motion carried 4 for, none aginst 2. Mr. Bill Chester's plans for an office waterhouse building to be located south of the Texaco service station were examined and found to be in order as far as zoning is concerned. motion by Bill LaGrone to advise the city council that the commission approves Mr. Chester's plan as presented. second Don Francis, motion carried 4 for none against 3. Mr. Bill L Stephenson, Engineer, presented the preliminary plat of Curtis-Lynge Hills addition no. 2 for Don Jones owner. a problem was found to exist in that the street arrangement does not conform to therefore proposed in the comprehensive plan. the commission felt that exper adives was required to solve the problem motion by Don Francis to postpone consideration of the plat until March 22 so that the advice of Mr. Mike Mahoney can be obtained. second Ken Posey, motion carried 4 for none against. 4. a hearing date of April 3, 1972 was set for hearing a petition by Mr. Charles Shepard for a zoning change from R-16 to OC for a tract of land located in fountain park 5. consideration of proposed changes to the by-laws was postponed until the City Council's wishes in regard to commissioner's term of office can be determined 6. the next meeting was set for March 22, 1972 7. meeting adjourned
