Minutes read and approved:
The Following members were present; Mayor V.B. Watson, Aldermen
R.J. McClure, Roy Hefner, J.C. Hefner, Fred Day, and B.H. Popplewell.
Motion by Roy Hefner that we adopt the resolution in the matter
of the Lone Star Gas Company's application, Gas Utilities Docket #248.
And pay the sum of ($14.00) fourteen dollars as our part in sending
a Committee before the Railroad Commission. Resolution attached.
Motion sec. by R.J. McClure, Ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Motion by R.J. McClure that the Town of Allen use CAST IRON PIPE
with MECHANICAL JOINTS, WITH RUBBER RING for all WATER LINES to be
laid in the TOWN OF ALLEN, and that proper supervision by a CONFIDENT
ENGINEER approved by the Town Council, to see that the pipe is properly
installed. The developer is to pay the engineers fee. Motion sec.
by Fred Day. Ayes (5) five / Noes (0) none.
Motion for adjournment / carried.

/ APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR USE IN THE HEARING BEFORE THE RAILROAD COMMISSION OF
71J TEXAS IN THE MATTER OF THE LONE STAR GAS COMPANY'S APPLICATION, GAS UTILITIES DOCKET
NO. 21.48.
WHEREAS, the Lone Star Gas Company has made application before the Railroad Commission of
Texas for an increase in the rate to be paid for gas at the city gates; and
WHEREAS, a Committee representing cities interested in the aforesaid application has made
a study thereof and has recommended that the application be opposed; and
WHEREAS, the City of JreC..�+1/4_ is vitally interested in the aforesaid ap-
plication and in the results thereof .
VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL (COMMISSION) OF THE CITY OF ,, ,
TEXAS:

Fund of the City of �- _ , said sum to be
place in trus ' and used for the sole and only purpose of preparing and pre-
senting a case in opposition to the application of the Lone Star Gas Company,
Gas Utilities Docket No. 248 before the Railroad Commission of Texas and in
the courts, if necessary, such fund to be disbursed and controlled by the
Committee hereinafter named, and any sums remaining upon conclusion of the
Alwork of such Committee to be refunded to the City Treasury.
2. That the appointment of the Committee (composed of J. W. Monk, of Dallas,
Chairman, Jack Broad, of Brownwood, H. Louis Nichols, of Farmers Branch and
Richardson, Gordon Whitman, of Fort Worth, Allen Harp, of Childress, Charles
R. Griggs, of Sweetwater, and Joe P. Cox, Jr., of Sherman) is hereby ratified
and confirmed, and uch Committee is authorized to represent the interests of
the City of � y„� , Texas, in the above described matter.
