called meeting
1. this meeting was called to consider subdivision plats submitted by mr. neil holm
after the commission's receipt of comments from mr. mike mahoney consultant which
were not available at previous meetings. this meeting was held in the fire station
2. after considerable discussion the following actions were taken on mr. holm's property
(a) motion by bill enloe to waive any additional preliminary plat application details not
complied with and to approve windridge addition no. 2 subject to approval by the city
engineer and with the following changes. (1) to approach and intersection of ridgemont
drive with highway 5 at the
unnamed county road at the south line of the "woods" place will be redesigned to
conform to the subdivision ordinance (2) the diameter of the cul-de-sac in the north
east corner will be in... to conform to the ordinance (3) the "log" on the back of lot 18
block 12 will be eliminated. second bill lagrone, motion carried 5 for none against
(b) motion by ken posey to approve windridge addition no. 3 subject to the following
changes: (1) the number of lots in the north most row will be increased by 2. (2) the
number of lots in the next row south will be decreased by 4. (3) a street opening will be
provided through the south most row of lots in the approximate vicinity of lots 10-15
second by don francis, motion carried 5 for none against
(c) motion by don francis to table
mr. holm's townhouse plan request to comply with mr. holm's request to table it. second
bill enloe, motion carried 5 for none against
3. charles west, gordon browning, jack cook, and ross lone discussed with the commission
development of their property north and east of the high school area. specifically the
residential density and requirements of the r-4 and r-6 zoning classifications were
discussed. these gentlemen proposed that a zoning district between r-4 and r-6 would
be appropriate for thei proposal development. after the gentlemen named had felt the
meeting this matter was discussed at length by the commission. motion by bill lagrone
to establish a zoning classification of r-5 according to the detailed requirements entered
in the copy of the proposed zoning ordinance held by mr. walter curtis. second bill enloe,
motion carried 5 for none against
4. the subject of sidewalks was discussed
the subdivisin ordinance provides that sidewalks be optional. the commission felt
however that in some cases they should be required.
motion by don francis to recommend to the council that they adopt a requirement that
sidewalks be installed along all collector streets and primary and secondary thorofares
in all future developments. second bill enloe, motion carried 5 for none against
5. the next meetingwas set for the public hearing on the proposed zoning ordiance
