regular meeting
1. mr. bill enloe conducted the meeting at the request of the secretary
2. the hearing was held for the dessie b. clay request for zoning change. mr. donald
k. jones and mr. gene arnold spoke for the requested change. they discussed the dairy
queen drive-in proposed for the tract in question. velda s. stacy sent a letter to the
commission stating her support for the requested change. there was no obligation to
change. however after the hearing was closed the vote had been taken, mr. jess ...
and mr. m.a. sykes appeared for the stated purpose of trying to determine if the proposed
change would affect their use of their property.
motion by don francis to approve the zoning change requested by dessie b. clay. second
ken posey, motion carried 3 for none against.
3. mr. john gibson and mr. alvis moore presented the final plat of mr. neil holm's
townhouse subdivision (allenwood heights)
motion by ken posey to approve the townhouse plan. second don francis, motion carrie
3 for none against
4. the proposed ... of only one half of park place drive, hillside village #5 was discussed.
motion by bill enloe to write a letter to the mayor and council stating the commission
opposition to half street paving. second don francis, motion carried 3 for none against
5. the next meeting wsa set for oct. 2,1972
