regular meeting
1. minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved
2. mrs. carr inquired about zoning for a plant nursery for her property at 201 e. main street
the most restrictive zoning classification allowing a plant nursery is oc, outdoor
commercial. mrs. carr sated that she believed this classification was not appropriate
for the tract. she was informed that an alternate approach would be to petition the
board of adjustment for an exception under the present classification
3. an application for zoning for a veterinary clinic on a tract located east of hillside village
on the north side of fm 2170 was
received from gary hefner. a hearing date of december 4, 1972 was set. walter curtis
will find out form the city attorney if the sale of the tract to mr. hefner consitutes ...
4. chairman howard snider will discuss with the city a possible zoning ordinance violation
in the old crawford & mosely grocery building
5. a recommendation was made by ken posey that the commission ask the city council
to begin a policy of appointing commission members to a definate term of office. the
commission agreed and asked the secretary to prepare a letter to the council containing
this recommendation
6. a recommendation was made by ken posey that the commission adopt a policy of
approval procedure for subdivisions which includes approval by the council and to adivse
subdivisions of this policy along with instructions on the preparation of signature legsnds
for plats. the commission agreed
and will work on drafting such documents at the next meeting.
7. the next meeting was set for dec. 4, 1972
