HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - Planning and Zoning Commission - 1973 - 09/10 - Regularsept. 10, 1971 regular meeting minutes read and approved hearing on fountain park station III final plat. m. churchwell representing stearnes and assoc. made presentation for plat III. letter from city engineer read stating compliance w/ master subdivision layout and recommending approval. discussion concerning location of schools relative to fountain park and parks and greenbelt areas followed. motion by seaman seconded by brazeal that fountain park section III final plat be accepted as presented. motion carried 6-0. recommendation to be sent to city council. motion by Kolander seconded by gantt that when request made for final plat section IV, consideration be given to an open area for park use according to guidelines established in the master plan. motion carried 6-0 - hearing on w. chester for zoning change from lr to gi. property south of texaco station between federal dr. and allen dr. mr. w. chester spoke for the proposal. much discussion followed concerning the gi classification. alternatives were proposed to the gi classification motion by brazeal that zoning be left as lf with special use for retail store for tires & batteries sale and minor automotive repair. seconded by michaels. amendment by gantt that an easement ... provided for the sewer line across the property's with the width of the easement the recommendation of the city engineer. amendment carried 6-0. motion carried 6-0. recommendation to be sent to city council - site plan for fountain park baptist church. mr. myers represnting the church made the presentation. motion by gantt that the site plan be approved as presented. seconded by kolander. motion carried 6-0 recommendation to be sent to city council - motion by seaman that the high meadows second addition preliminary plan be declared null and void due to apparent lack of interest and any further action on the high meadows addition ... w/ a preliminary plat submitted. seconded by brazeal motion carried 6-0. recommendation to be sent to city council discussion was held concerning the time ... between final plat approval and start of construction. engineering specs were the main concern meeting adjourned
