Watson presiding, Aldermen R.J. McClure, R.L. Cooksey, Earl Young, W.E. Ford, and J.C. Hefner. Absent none. Motion by R.J. McClure to elect Alderman J.C. Hefner Mayor- protem, sec. by Earl Young. Ayes (3) three, noes (0) none. Motion by W.E. Ford to buy a load of PLANT MIX to fix some holes in the streets, also to get the County Maintainer and blade the streets, sec. by Earl Young. Ayes (4) four, noes (0) none. Motion by Earl Young to change the SEWER CHARGE on the business houses, other than the FILING STATIONS & GARAGES from $3.00 to $2.00 per month same as RESIDENT. Sec. by J.C. Hefner. Ayes (4) four Noes (0) none. Motion by J.C. Hefner to hire A.C. Story as City Secretary, sec. by E.B. Young. ayes (4) noes (0) none. Motion by W.E. Ford to let John Barnett build up the MAN-HOLE at the corner of the R.W. Eden & Christian parsonage property in order to bring the street out from the WHISENANT ESTATES to WEST ave C. At a price of $30.00. Sec. by J.C. Hefner. Ayes (4) four / noes (0) none. TEXAS MINUTE ORDER Collin and liallas Counties District No. 18 WHEREAS, IN COLLIN AND DALLAS COUNTIES, U. S. Highway 75 has been constructed on a new location between McKinney and Richardson; and WHEREAS, Highway Commission Minute Order Number 35667 dated February 24, 1954, provided that the old route of U. S. ttighway 75 between said limits be removed from the Highway System upon completion of the relocati -n of U. S. Highway 75; and WHEREAS, the old route of U. S. Highway 75 will continue to carry a heavy traffic volume and will provide a useful route through the communities of Fairview and Netsel and the Cities of Allen and Plano; and YHThrEAS, the Commissioners' Court of Collin County has requested that the old route be retained on the Highway System: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the designation of the old route of U. S. Highway 75 be and is hereby retained as a State Highway from a junction with State Highway 121 South of McKinney in Collin County, South to a junction with the new route of U. S. Highway 75 near the North edge of Richardson in Dallas County, a distance of approximately 15 miles ; and FURTHER, that the State "ighway Engineer is directed to notify Collin and Dellas Counties of this Commission action. 3
