Presiding: Chairman Roger Powell
Members Present: Bill Day, Carol Henry, Greg Towe, Charles Akin,
and Jim Pendleton.
Motion by Jim Pendleton to approve minutes from April 24, 1980
meeting as read. Second to motion by Carol Henry. Motion car-
ried 6 for 0 against.
A Public Hearing was held at the request of Distinctive Homes
Inc. to change zoning of approximately 89 acres in the William
Perris Survey Abstract #708 from present classification 7 R2-R3s
R16 PD & LRPD to GI (General Industrial).
Frank Lynch, one of the partners of Distinctive Homes, spoke of
the development. He asked for a delay of 10 minutes, so others
of his group will arrive, and time was given.
Stan Eskowits explained what GI would not have permitted. He
explained also, that a buffer of trees and a wall with ferns
would be between landowners on the North & Building areas, 100 ft.
1 between property line & buildings.
Frank Lynch commented on the development.
Chuck Forbes, buying property, spoke for change in the zoning.
Against request, Ward Paxton presented a petition of homeowners
against the zoning request:

Stan Eskowitz would like to amend zoning application{ leave R-2
same as on master plan with the same zoning request. The owner
has now requested the amendment to the zoning application.
Chuck Forbes spoke again about what the project could do for Allen.

Ward Paxton requested from P & Z a tabling of the motion of
90 days for further studies.
Motion made by Jim Pendleton to deny zoning request. Second to
motion by Greg Tows. Motion carried 5 for 1 against.
Motion made by Bill Bay. Second to motion by Carol Henry to
adjourn. Motion carried 6 for 0 against.
