REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 11, 1992

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the Commissioners present, the Allen Planning & Zoning Com-
mission was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Acting Chairman Biggs at the Allen
Municipal Annex, City Council Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
May 28, 1992 (Agenda Item II)
Acting Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of May 28, 1992, Regular Meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Gallagher and a second by Commis-
sioner Kelley, the Commission voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to ap-
prove the minutes of the May 28, 1992, meeting.

Final Plat
Country Meadow Phase 3
(Agenda Item III)
Acting Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Final Plat - Consider final plat approval for Centex Corporation for
Country Meadow Phase 3, a 29.05 acre tract of land situated in the Peter
Fisher Survey, Abstract No. 324, City of Allen, Collin County, Texas,
described in a deed to Murray Development Company, recorded in Volume
1747, Page 624, Deed Records of Collin County,Texas; further described
as being located south of Exchange Parkway and west of Pin Oak Lane."
Mr. Tom Keener presented the plat to the Commission and advised that the
submission meets all City standards. Staff recommends approval. He added that
this is a continuation of the Country Meadow Subdivision. Mr. Brad Meyer,
representing Carter & Burgess Engineering for Centex Corporation, was avail-
able for questions.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Gallagher and a second by Commis-
sioner Kelley, the Commission voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to ap-
prove the final plat for Country Meadow Phase 3.

Replat
First United Methodist Church (Agenda Item IV)
Acting Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Final Plat - Consider replat approval for First United Methodist Church, a
6.844 -acre tract of land situated in the City of Allen, Collin County,
Texas, in the William Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708 and the George W.
Ford Survey, Abstract No. 328, and being a resurvey of the First United
Church of Allen, an Addition to the City of Allen as recorded in Cabinet C,
Page 502 0£ the Collin County Map Records and also being Lot 1 and a part
of Lot 2, Block A of Deer Crest Addition, an addition to the said City of
Allen as recorded in Cabinet G, Page 287 of the Collin County Map Records;
further described as being located at 601 S. Greenville Avenue."
Mr. Keener presented this replat to the Commission. The reason for this replat is
because the church has purchased additional property to the south. Discussion
was held regarding the strip that connects this property to Jupiter and its future
use. The 20 -foot fire lane easement on the north was discussed and the Commis-
sion was advised that the Fire Marshal has approved this 20 -foot strip.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Kelley and a second by Commissioner
Gallagher, the Commission voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the replat for the First United Methodist Church.

Other Business:
Mr. Keener advised that no zoning cases are scheduled for the next agenda.
The Commission discussed the desire to maintain a summer dress code (casual)
and the consensus was to adopt this summer dress code from June through
August.
Adjourn:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Crume and a second by Commissioner
Gallagher, the Commission voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn
the June 11, 1992, meeting of the Allen Planning & Zoning Commis-
sion.
