With a quorum of the Commissioners present, the Allen Planning & Zoning Commission was
called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Acting Chairman Crume at the Allen Library, Two Allen Civic
Plaza, Allen, Texas.

Review of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Agenda Item VI)
Chairman Folk read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Review of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance."
The following comments were made regarding Article III - Regulations:
1 Mobile Home District - No recommendations
2. Garden Office - Discussion was held regarding the height requirements in the three possible
alternatives. The consensus was to eliminate the first two references and use the third
reference, adding text stating that if the property abuts single family residential area, it would
be limited to two stories (35'). Change the 150' requirement to 100'
3. Office - Height requirements remain as is, and should be used Corridor Commercial.
4. Corridor Commercial - Use the height requirements from Office.
5. Light Industrial - Change Section 4.a.(1).(d) in favor of the proposed landscape ordinance,
leaving the text regarding storage or similar uses.
3 6. Regarding "Type of Materials" for all nomesidential districts: Discussion was held regarding
the need to change this section. This will be considered further.
Mr. Tom Keener and Commissioner Crume presented the Commission with a draft of the Land-
scape/Tree Preservation section.
ADJOURN:
MOTION Upon a motion by Commissioner Crume and a second by Commissioner Biggs,
the Commission voted 6 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the May 18, 1995,
meeting at 9:00 p.m.
