With a quorum of the Commissioners present, the Allen Planning & Zoning Commission was
called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Acting Chairman Crume at the Allen Municipal Annex, One
Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.

Review of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Agenda Item II)
Acting Chairman Crume read the agenda item into the record as follows
"Review of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance."
The following changes were suggested for the Schedule of Uses.
1. Sand or Gravel Mining or Storage - OK as is
2 Sanitary Landfill - Add by SUP in CF
3 School, Business; School, Commercial Trade - Combine into one use called School, Business
and Trade and add by right to SC, LC, CC and IT Parking in a retail center should designate
that the parking should be required for each individual tenant.
4. School, Public, Proprietary or Denominational - OK as is.
5 Servant's Quarters - Add by Accessory in CBD
6 Service Station - Add by SUP in LI, GI, and HI.
7 Sewage Treatment Plant - Remove this use.
8 Sexually -oriented business - OK as is.
9 Sign Shop, no outside - Remove this use, it is a retail store.
10 Sign Shop with Outside Storage - Add by SUP in LI
11 Single-family Dwelling (Attached) - Rename to Dwelling, single-family (attached) and add to

12 Single-family Dwelling (Detached) - Rename to Dwelling, single-family (detached), OK as is
13 Smelting of Ores or Metals - OK as is.
14 Soft Drink Bottling Plant - Add by right in CC and GB
15. Stable Uses - Combine and name "Stable." Allow by right in AO, R-2 PD, GI, HI, and by
SUP in CF Review the definition and combine into one use
16 Stockyards or Slaughterhouse - OK as is.
17 Studio photo, music, an, health, etc. - Remove, this is a retail store
18 Swim or Tennis Club - Add by right in CC, LI, GI, and HI, and as Accessory in IT
19 Swim Pool, Public - OK as is.

42 Water Storage Tank, Accessory - Remove word accessory and allow by right in CF and by
SUP in CBD
43. Water Treatment Plant, accessory - Remove this use.
44 Wrecking or auto salvage yard - OK as is
45 Warehouse/Distribution Center (no outside storage) - Remove from IT
46. Warehouse/Distribution Center (with outside storage) - Add by right to GI and HI, and by SUP
in LI
Mr Keener advised reviewed the agenda for the September 28, 1995, meeting.
ADJOURN
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Obermeyer and a second by Commissioner
Heller, the Commission voted 5 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the Septem-
ber 20, 1995, meeting at 9.15 p.m.
