REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ALLEN
March 9th 196i
Mayor Watson and all Council Members present.
Minutes read and approved :
Bill :T J. Stubbs & John Enloe was present in regard to laying SEWER
lines & building a man hole; it was decided too put (4) four houses on
(6) Six" line and (4) Four on a (4) Fonr" line, discussion as to what to
charge and how -much to charg Mr. Stubbs for tieing into the sewer line.
Motoin by E.B. Young too charge Mr. Stubbs the regular fee of $75.00
for one tap into the Sewer "AIN. The TOWN OF ALLEN is to build the MAN -HOLE.
Mition carried Five to Nothing.
A VACENCY IN THE ZONING COMMISSION , 14ADE BY THE MOVING OF Mr.E.H.
CANNADAY WAS REPLACED BY THe: APPOINTMENT OF S.O. BARNETT.
Discussion about the candidatecy of Mr. Gentry T. Jones for Alderman
is he ELIGIBLE (legally) to be placed on the Official Ballot. Motion by
Carl Marion and Second by E.B. Young that all CANDIDATES be QUALIFIED
except Mr. G.T. Jones his Qualifications to depend on the ANSWER from the
LEAGUE OFTEXAS MCNICIPALITIS. The Mayor is to write for this information.
Mr. E.S. Young presented a plat of appoximly B eight and 62/I00 acres
for approval out of the Gentry T. Jones prpperty. Tabled for present.
Discussion about closing the Street crossing on the RAIL -ROAD in
front of Mr. Geroge Carrolls Home. Motion by W.E. Ford too TABLE
the DISCUSSION until next meeting night , and he (Mr.Ford) would talk
too Mr. George Carroll & Mr. J.C. Hefner about the project since they
have property on either side of the crossing under discussion.
Motion second by E.9. Young. Carried (5) Five to (0) nothing.
