Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present. With a quorum of the members present, the Downtown Steering Committee Meeting was called to order by Chair Bari! at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in the City Council Conference Room at Allen City Hall located at 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013. 2. Chair Opening Remarks Chair Baril thanked Vice-Chair McKenzie for stepping in during his absence.He also thanked the committee members for their accomplishments in the past seven months which has positioned the committee for even further success in the next months to close out the project. 3. Approve Minutes of the December 8,2021,Committee Meeting. Upon a motion by Committee Member Schnick and a second'by Committee Member Galletti, the Committee voted eight(8)for and none(0) opposed to approve the minutes of the December 8,2021, Downtown Steering Committee. The motion carried. 4. Receive Outline of Activities and Efforts Since December Meeting. Vice-Chair McKenzie and Committee Member Grube reviewed the various activities and engagement. There have been multiple meetings with Stantec in preparation for the upcoming workshops; website updates;lots of community engagement from social media activity and media coverage.Targeted social media posts in neighborhoods based on the upcoming workshop locations. Workshop information to be featured in the "In Focus" utility bill insert. Distribution of the "Dare to Dream" flyer is being distributed to local businesses.Vice-Chair McKenzie shared data results from the survey which showed a very broad group of neighborhoods were represented. 5. Discuss February and March Outreach Efforts. DOWNTOWN STEERING COMMITTEE CALLED MEETING JANUARY 26,2022 PAGE 2 Chair Baril provided a project timeline for community input workshops and community engagement campaigns in February. He continued by stating that in March there would be a planning workshop with time to review the results in April.The committee would then work with Stantec to prepare a final report to present to the city council in June. 6. Update from Consultant. Stantec representatives provided a presentation on the strategy for each of the workshops in February. 7. Set Next Meeting Date. The next meeting of the Downtown Steering Committee is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23,2022. 8. Adjourn. Upon a motion by Committee Member Acker and a second by Committee Member Gould, the Committee voted eight(8) for and none(0) opposed to adjourn the Downtown Steering Committee at 8:46 p.m. on Wednesday,January 26,2022.
