Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the Parks and Recreation Board present, Chair Johnson called the
meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Parks Meeting Room of
the Municipal Service Center, 900 S. Greenville Avenue,Allen,Texas.
1) Approve Minutes from February 28,2022,Regular Meeting.
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Holley and a second by Member
Hollingsworth, the Parks and Recreation Board voted six(6) for and none
(0) opposed to approve the February 28, 2022, Regular Meeting minutes as
presented. The motion carried.

2) Introduce Staff Members
Director-Kate Meacham introduced Teresa Thomason, Assistant Director of
Operations. Jen Robinson, Strategic Projects Manager introduced Katie Thompson,
Parks and Recreation Intern. Kyle Benedict, Assistant Director introduced Aaron
Kovach,Athletics Program Supervisor.
3) Update can Inclusion Assessment of Parks and Recreation Facilites
Katie Thompson, Parks and Recreation Intern, gave the Board an overview of the
internship program as well as the inclusion assessment on which she has been
working. She noted that she has been tasked with visiting as many local parks as
possible;lo take photos and measurements of inclusive elements. That information will
eventually be compiled and made available to assist residents seeking these types of
amenities to know where they are located.
4) Overview of FY23 Capital Projects.
Kate Meacham reviewed with the Board the projects being submitted to the
Commur ty Development Corporation for FY23 funding.
5) Update an Molsen Farm Master Plan Project.
Matt McComb, as well as representatives from the design firm Parkhill, Spencer
Freeman and Blane Potts,reviewed the Conceptual Master Plan for Molsen Farm with
the Boar&
6) Items of Interest
Items for future meetings included tour of the new Stephen G. Terrell Recreation
Center.
7) Adjourn
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Simpson and a second by Member Brewer, the
Parks and Recreation Board voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed to
adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m. The motion carried.
Immediately following Adjournment,the Board toured Molsen Farm located adjacent to the
Municipal Service Center at the Southwest Corner of Greenville Avenue and Ridgemont
Drive.
These minutes approved on the 27th day of June, 2022. ._
