CALL TO ORDER Chair Lisa Ellrich called the meeting to order at 6:13 p.m. 2. CITIZENS COMMENTS There was no citizens present wishing to speak at this time. 3. APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 2002 MEETING. Dee Hennigan made a motion to accept minutes from the January meeting. SECOND: Deb Sielert seconded this motion 4. Update on Summer Sounds from Tina Daniels The following schedule was suggested: May 13 John Nitzinger May 20 Powerplay June 3 TBA June 10 Kenny and the Kasuals June 17 Just A Hobby Fifth Ticket Fraud June 24 Lary Jo Taylor I 0 Dee Hennigan suggested that Tina Daniels preview Paul Slaven Band to see if he would fit in the June 3 spot. Tina will research this and report back at the March meeting. 5. Ad Hoc Committee Update a. School Liaison---Heart for Art---Lauren Jones Lauren Jones asked that we table "Heart for Art" until the May meeting. b. Public Art---Lisa Ellrich Lisa Ellrich reported that plans are underway for Allen High School student, Judson Garwood to paint a mural on the Natatorium wall in the leisure pool area. c. Allen Arts Alliance Guild ---Bill Dillard Bill Dillard was not at the meeting due to the recent birth of his daughter. 6. Discuss Art To Go Program Tina Daniels reported that she had contacted Trudy Israel about "Art to Go" and told her that the board would fund half of the requested amount for the program. Mrs. Israel was glad that the board supported "Art to Go" but still needed the full amount to proceed with the program. The board discussed this issue and decided that they could only fund half at this point. 7. Status of Mobile Stage Lisa Anderson reported that the mobile stage is still under review. There will be an update at a future meeting. Dee Hennigan said that she knew someone that had one for sale and she would give Lisa Anderson his phone number. 7. Other Business Dee Hennigan suggested that we look into a Cheyenne Medicine Man that performs a Pow Wow The cost would be $2840.00.
