1. CALL TO ORDER
Lynn Moore called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE AUGUST 5, 2003 MEETING
MOTION: David Sterling voted to approve minutes. Sue
Butler seconded the motion.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
NONE
4. Select Symphony Conert for Sponsorship
The April 17, 2004, Side By Side Concert was selected as the concert the board
would like to sponsor.
5. Review of Marketing Material
David Sterling and Lauren Jones recommended that they produce a brochure
highlighting the purpose, activities and events of the Art Board.

6. Policy and Procedure Review
Board members researched several different "Policies and Procedures" for Public
Art and decided that Allen needed such a document. Staff will begin
to research and design a document for the Art Board's approval.
7. Mural Supplies
Synne Ferguson asked the Art Board to fund the supplies she needs for the mural
She is painting for "The Children's House at Baylor. (Located in Allen).
MOTION: Sue Butler recommended the Art Board buy the
Supplies for the mural not exceeding 2,000. Patrice Alessandra
seconded the motion.
8. Other Business
A. Allen USA. Staff recommended that the board think about what type of
role they would like to play in Allen USA for 2004.
B. Budget Update. Lori Smeby reported that there is a portion of the
Budget remaining and it will be carried over to fiscal year 2004 for
Public Art.
9. Date to Preview Public Art
The Board will decide on a date to meet together to preview public art.
10. Adjourn
The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
