1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Lynn Moore, Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting to Order
at 6:OOp.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM January 4, 2005 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Rod Schwegmann moved to approve the Minutes from the January 4,
2005 regular Meeting. Denise Gilbert seconded and the Motion carried 7 in favor,
0 against.

5. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:
Llj a. Reengineering of Allen Arts and Alliance
1 Discuss Skills and Characteristics—this item was tabled
2. Identification of possible applicants—this item was tabled
3. Interview Process—this item was tabled
4. Determine name for new board—it was agreed upon that the name would
stay the same
5. Determine number of board members—it was agreed upon that the new
board would consist of 7 board members with the possibility of growing to
a larger number in the future
6. Determine the length of term for officers—this item was tabled
b. Community Band
Lori discussed an email she received from a citizen about starting a
community band. Kathy Litinas informed the board that there was a Plano
Community band the citizen could check with.
c. Art to Go Upate
Lynn updated the board on the progress of the spring semester of Art -to -Go.
d. Bach to Books Update
Susan Butler updated the board with the concerts/events the Arts Alliance will
be funding in 2005 for the Bach to Books Program: The Allen Philharmonic
Ensemble on March, 1, Gary Cogill Channel 8 Entertainment Reporter on July 12
or 14, the Allen Symphony Chorus on September 22 and Holiday Carolers at the
Annual Gift Faire on December 2.
e. Missoula Children's Theater
Shannon discussed with the board the options for housing the Tour Directors
for the week of the Theater program. The options are to stay at a hotel in Allen
at a cost to the City or to stay in someone's home. The board was asked to
consider this and to make recommendations about possible lodging options.
f. Other:
1 Lori proposed an idea to the Board members of sending one member to
the "Americans for Arts Conference" in Austin, TX in mid-June.
2. It was agreed upon that the March 1 Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting will
be cancelled to allow more time for the Art Master Plan Oversight Committee
Meeting.
6. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
