1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Lynn Moore, Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting
to Order at 6:06 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM JUNE 7, 2005 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Patrice Alessandra moved to approve the Minutes from the June
7, 2005 regular Meeting. Sue Butler seconded and the Motion carried 6 in
favor, 0 against
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS:
None
4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:
a. Gary Cogill Event Info, Tom Keener
Tom Keener spoke with the board about Gary Cogill coming in for a talk
as a part of the Bach to Book Series.

4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION continued:
b. Art to Go School Year 2005 - 2006 Re -Cap, Trudy Israel
Trudy Israel presented to the board the results of surveys from teachers,
volunteers and school administrators from Bolin & Boyd Elementary
Schools. Mrs. Israel also discussed some of the portfolios used during the
school year
c. Americans for the Arts Conference Update, Lynn Moore
Lynn reported about what she learned while at the conference. Some of
the sessions she attended were about Public Art and about becoming a
Non-profit Organization.
d. Allen USA Update
Shannon Craft reported on the success of Allen USA. There were 65,000
attendees and they expect an even bigger crowd next year
e. Summer Sounds Update
Shannon Craft reported on the success of the Summer Sounds Concerts.
Estimated attendance were as follows: Take 5--800; Love Machine -900 -
1,000; Bill Tillman -1,200; Becca D.-1,000-1,200; Crawfish -1,600
f. Missoula Children's Theater Camp
Shannon updated everyone on the progress of the upcoming camp and
asked for volunteers to help at the performances on July 23.
5. ITEMS FOR ACTION:
a. Reengineering of Arts Alliance
1. Board Applications
Four applications have been received.
2. Process of Interviews
MOTION: Patrice Alessandra moved that the Nominating Committee
(Kathy Litinas, Denise Gilbert & Rod Schwegmann) will handle all
applications and the entire interview process of new board member
applications. The Nominating Committee will then make
recommendations to the Board in September when a final vote will be
held. Sue Butler seconded and the Motion carried 6 in favor, 0 against.
6. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
