ECALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the Board present, the Sign Control Board was called to order at 3:30 p.m. by
Chairperson Jones at the City Council Chambers, One Allen Civic Plaza, Allen, Texas.
CONSENT AGENDA:
1. Approve minutes of February 13, 2001 Regular Meeting.
2. Consider renewal of Temporary Sign for Highland Homes located at 1409 Rollins.
3. Consider renewal of Temporary Sign for MCA located at 1501 Buoy Bay Court, being the northwest
comer of Beacon Hill Drive and McDermott Drive.
4. Consider renewal of Temporary Sign for Huntington Homes for temporary sign located at 1224
Comanche.
5. Consider renewal of Temporary Sign for Continental Homes located at 1815 Round Rock Drive, being
the northwest comer of Round Rock and FM 2551.
6. Consider renewal of Temporary Sign for Standard Pacific Homes located at 1401 Country Bend.

Ms. Sally Leeper advised that the signs are in good condition.

MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Spivey and a second by Board Member Moore, the
Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion
carried
REGULAR AGENDA:
7 Other Business
Ms. Leeper advised the Board that the recent variance request by Twin Creeks was forwarded and
continued by the City Council. She noted that weekend directional signs are being discontinued as
they expire, that the Food Lion pole structure has been removed, and that the pole sign at the old
Frankie's on East Main Street is being reduced to a pole or being removed by the new owner of the
premises.
Ms. Leeper introduced the sign inspection staff from the Building Inspection Department, Joey Allette,
Wes Nail, and Kristie Raspe.
ADJOURNMENT:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Spivey and a second by Board Member Moore, the
Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the Much 12, 2001, meeting of the Sign
Control Board at 4:00 p.m. The motion carred.
