CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, ALLEN, TEXAS
APRIL 11th 1963
Mayor Gentry T. Jones give the OATH OF OFFICE to the newly
elected Council members, who was Phil Pringle, C.E. Ottaway
And J.D. Smith, with the following members present : Mayor Gentry
T. Jones, Aldermen F. Dean Sears, Talmadge Oxford, J.D. Smith,
C.E. Ottaway and Phil Pringle.
Motion by Phil Pringgle to pa the bill, sec. by T.L. Oxford,
motion passed - ayes (5) five /ynoes (0) nome.

Discussion about the rocking & paving of Streets in the new
developed area of our City.
Motion by C.E. Ottaway that the Council ask Mayor Jones to in-
struct the City Attorney to get Easements pry to opening the street
from the Well Property,west to the Service road. Second by Phil
Pringle- motion passed, ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Seefy to get the names of the property owners along said Street.
Motion by Mr. Ottaway to have Mr. Don Strong present his plot
on the TRAILOR COURT to the Council, sec, by Phil Pringle, motion
passed : ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Motion by J.D. Smith that the Council hire Mr. George Wilcox
for the summer to do the MOWING and help with some other work when
he is needed, Motion sec. by Phil Pringle, Motion passed- ayes
(5) Five / noes (0) none.
Motion by Phil Pringle that the City Attorney be consulted
about a lettering Ordenance for the City of Allen„second by
Talmadge Oxford - motion passed ayes (5 five/ noes (0) none.
Discussion : about some -one to work with the Fire -Department
also, about a meeting of the Fire -Department on next Tuesday
night ( April 16th 1963 ) . Mr Oxford mentioned the names of
two men in McKinney who might be interested in helping out with the
Fire -Department here.
Motion: by Yx. Ottaway that Mr. Oxford approch one of the men
about working 18 or 20 hours per monthto help with the Fire -
Department at $ 35.00 per months sec. by Phil Pringle- motion
passed, ayes (5) five / noes (01 none.
Motion by Mr Ottaway that the Mayor request the presents of
Mr. W.E. Ford at the next regular meeting, sec. by Talmadge Oxford
Motion passed; Wyes (5) five / noes (0) none.
Motion to adjorn by Mayor Jones
