SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE
CITY COUNCIL. CITY OF ALLEN
April 18, 1963
Present: Mayor Gentry T. Jones, Aldermen: Phil Pringle, C. E. Ottoway,
Dean Sears, J. D. Smith and I. Oxford
Special meeting of the City Council was called this date by Mayor
Jones to consider an application for a building permit for a
trailer park in Allen requested by Mr. Dan Strong.
Mr Strong and Mr. W. E. Ford were present at the Council Meeting
in regard to the proposed Trailer Park.
All Council Members agreed that the requested building permit
could be issued to Mr Strong with the following conditions:
Trailer park lots to be in accordance with Mr Strong's plans
presented to Council - 33 x 65 feet. Mr Strong, in laying the
sewer line on his property would take necessary steps to see
that the sewer line would maintain the "same Fall" as present
line. Further, that there would be one water meter for the entire
trailer park and that Mr Strong would he responsible to the city
for payment of entire water bill. Further, that Mr Strong's plan
called for 6 trailer lots, therefore, there would be 6 individual
sewer taps, one for each lot, and that the base rate of $2.00 per
month would levied on each tap whether in use or not and that this
sewer charge would be added to Mr Strong's monthly water bill.
Further, that "Redwood" fence, or comparable fence, would be put
along the entire northern line of said trailer park, (this would
be from "B" Street running East to Railroad property across the
entire North line of Mr Strong's property),
NOTE.:* All council members agreed on all points of the above
conditions with exception to the lot sizes. Mr Sear;,
Smith and Oxford agreed on the 33 x 65 lot sizes; Mr
Pringle and Ottoway were in favor of 40 x 65 lots or
larger.
In regard to providing adequate water for the proposed Trailer Park;

will do the necessary ditch digging to Mr Strong's property in order
to lay a 2" line(Continuation of present 2" line); the City will
pay an amount comparable to the cost of 3/4" line and Yr Strong will
pay the difference between the amount the City contributes and the
actual cost of the 2" line. The above conditbons to be made a part
of the building permit requ77.ring Mr Strong's signature before being
properly executed.
