Approve Minutes July 11, 1989 (Agenda Item II) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Approve minutes of July 11, 1989, Regular meeting." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of July 11, 1989. A ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD AUGUST 8, 1989 PAGE 2 Mr. Del Ferro advised the Board that all of the signs on the agenda are in good repair. Renewal Raintree Joint Venture (Agenda Item III) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 1st annual renewal of Class 4 Temporary Homebuilder Directional signs for Raintree Joint Venture." Staff advised the Board that proponent had requested this item be withdrawn from the agenda as renewal would not be desired. Therefore, no action was taken on this item. Renewal Goodman Homes (Agenda Item IV) �! Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: ® "Consider 1st annual renewal of Class 4 Temporary Homebuilder Directional signs for Goodman Homes." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Leverett and a second by Board Member Crowe, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Homebuilder Directional Signs for Goodman Homes. Renewal General Homes (Agenda Item V) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 1st annual renewal of Class 4 Temporary Homebuilder Directional Signs for Goodman Homes." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Leverett and a second by Board Member Crowe, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Homebuilder Directional Signs for General Homes. 0 ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD AUGUST 8, 1989 PAGE 3 Renewal Marymark Homes Agenda Item VI) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 1st annual renewal of Class 4 Temporary Homebuilder Directional Signs for Marymark Homes." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Homebuilder Directional Signs for Marymark Homes. Renewal Nova Property Company (Agenda Item VII) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 4th renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Nova Property Company located at the northwest corner of Allentown Parkway and Greenville Ave." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Class 4 sign for Nova Property located at the northwest corner of Allentown Parkway and Greenville Avenue. Renewal Texas Advertising (Agenda Item VIII) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 4th renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Texas Advertising located at the northeast corner of Bethany Drive and Prestige Circle." ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD AUGUST 8, 1989 PAGE 4 Renewal Texas Advertising (Agenda Item IX) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 4th renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Texas Advertising located at the northwest corner of Bethany Drive and Prestige Circle." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Leverett and a second by Board Member Crowe, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewals for Texas Advertising located at the northeast corner of Bethany Drive and Prestige Circle, and the northwest corner of Bethany Drive and Prestige Circle. Renewal Mr. Paul Billingsly (Agenda Item X) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 3rd renewal for Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Mr. Paul Billingsly located at the southeast corner of Stacy Road and Malone Road." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Class 4 off-site sign for Mr. Paul Billingsly. Renewal Raintree Estates (Agenda Item XI) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 6th renewal for Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Raintree Estates located at the northeast corner of Alma Drive and F.M. 2170." Renewal Raintree Estates (Agenda Item XII) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 5th renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Raintree Estates located south of McDermott Drive and west of Angel Drive." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Class 4 off-site signs for Raintree Estates located at the northeast corner of Alma Drive and F.M. 2170 and south of McDermott Drive and West of Angel Drive. ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD AUGUST 8, 1989 PAGE 5 Renewal Willow Creek Estates (Agenda Item XIII) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 7th renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign for Willow Creek Estates located at Willow Creek Drive and S.H. 5." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Class 4 sign at Willow Creek Estates. Renewal James Brown (Agenda Item XIV) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 5th renewal of Class 4 temporary Promotional sign for James Brown located at S.H. 121 and County Road 153." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Class 4 off-site sign for James Brown located at S. H. 121 and County Road 153. Other Business: (Agenda Item XV) Mr. Del Ferro advised the Board that one Class 4 sign permit had been issued in the past month, located west of S.H. 5 at Hightrall. Board Member Leverett advised the Board that he had witnessed contractors placing the weekend directional signs without proper safety equipment, such as vests. The Board suggested that letters be sent to the homebuilders with their renewals reminding them of the requirements of the ordinance. Staff was further requested to investigate enforcement capabilities. The Board reviewed the wording that staff had provided regarding the Political Sign section of the Ordinance and the consensus was that this wording be recommended to the City Council. Chairman Chrisman requested that this and any other possible changes to the ordinance be finalized at the next meeting and a recommendation then formally sent to the City Council.
