CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the Allen Sign Control Board present, the meeting was called to
order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Leverett at the Allen Municipal Annex, City
Council Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
April 14, 1992
(Agenda Item II)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of April 14, 1992, Regular Meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Clay -tor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the minutes of April 14, 1992, as presented.

Renewal
Marymark Homes (Agenda Item III)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 5th renewal for Class 4 sign located at 800 Fall Drive for
Marymark Homes."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Smyser and a second by Board
Member Claytor, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the 5th renewal for Marymark Homes at 800 Fall Drive.
Renewal
Harris Land Development (Agenda Item IV)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 6th renewal for Class 4 sign located at the northeast corner of
Bethany and Livingston for Harris Land Development."
The Board requested that staff provide a new rendering of this sign at their next
renewal as the text has changed slightly.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the sign for Harris Land Development at the northeast corner of
Bethany and Livingston.
Renewal
Bass Development (Agenda Item V)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 6th renewal for Class 4 sign located at Sycamore Creek Road and
Fountain Gate Drive for Bass Development."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Winslow and a second by Board
Member Claytor, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the renewal for Bass Development at Sycamore Creek and Fountain
Gate.

Allen Central Development (Agenda Item VI)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 2nd renewal for Class 4 sign located at the Allen Central Devel-
opment facing U.S. 75 for CPI (Allen Central J. V.).
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Winslow, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the 2nd renewal for Allen Central Development.

Fox & Jacobs (Agenda Item VII)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 2nd renewal for Class 4 sign located at the northwest corner of
F. M. 2170 and Malone Road for Fox & Jacobs."
Board members commented that this sign is leaning and requesting staff to
contact the owner and request that it be corrected.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the 2nd renewal for Fox & Jacobs at F.M. 2170 and Malone.
Renewals
Wood Sign Company for
Stan Itzkowicz (2 signs) (Agenda Items VIII and IX)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda items into the record as follows:
"Consider 6th renewal for Class 4 sign located at U.S. 75 and Shelby Drive
for Wood Sign Company (Stan Itzkowicz)."
"Consider 6th renewal for Class 4 sign located at S.H. 121 and Shelby
Drive for Wood Sign Company (Stan Itzkowicz).
Staff advised that these two items are not being requested for renewal at this time
and should be removed from the agenda. No action is necessary at this time.

Other Business:
The following concerns were expressed by Board Member Winslow because of
complaints that have been made to her by citizens:
Zoning signs are staying up too long.
2. Banners are not being enforced equally.
3. Political signs remain from the May 2 election:
Bethany/Jupiter (Stout)
Library
Roaring Springs
Board Member Clay -tor advised that the planned workshop with the Board and
staff should be scheduled in the near future.

MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn
the May 12, 1992, meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board at 7:45
p.m.
