CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A O ORUM:
With a quorum of the Allen Sign Control Board present, the meeting was called to order at
7:45 p.m. by Acting Chairman Nolan at the Allen Municipal Annex, City Council Cham-
bers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
October 12. 1993 (Agenda Item II)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of October 12, 1993, Regular Meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Black and a second by Board Member
Chenoweth, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes

Renewal
Allen Central Joint Venture (Agenda Item III)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 5th renewal for Class 4 Sign for Allen Central Joint Venture
located west of U.S. 75 north of Bethany Drive."
Mr. Joseph Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 5th renewal
for the sign located at the Allen Central Joint Venture property.

Allen Economic Develoomen[ Council (Agenda Item IV)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 3rd renewal for Class 4 Sign for Allen Economic Development
Council located south of F.M. 2170 and east of U.S. 75."
Mr. Joseph Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 3rd renewal
for the Allen Economic Development Council.
Renewal
Allen Economic Development Council (Agenda Item V)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 3rd renewal for Class 4 Sign for Allen Economic Development
Council located south of F.M. 2170 and east of U.S. 75, and south of Agenda Item
IV."
Mr. Joseph Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Black and a second by Board Member
Chenoweth, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 3rd
renewal for the Allen Economic Development Council.

Mr, Chuck Forbes (Agenda Item VI)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 9th renewal for Class 4 Sign for Mr. Chuck Forbes located on
S.H. 121 at Shelby Drive."
Mr. Joseph Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 9th renewal
for Mr. Chuck Forbes.

Mr. Chuck Forbes (Agenda Item VII)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 9th renewal for Class 4 Sign for Mr. Chuck Forbes located
west of U.S. 75 at Shelby Drive."
Mr. Joseph Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair

Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 9th renewal
for Mr. Chuck Forbes.

Marymark Homes (Aeenda Item VIII)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows
"Renewal - Consider 8th renewal for Class 4 Sign for Marymark Homes located at
800 Fall Drive."
Mr. Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 8th renewal
for Marymark Homes.

Pioneer Homes (Agenda Item IX)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 1st renewal for Class 4 Sign for Texas Advertising (Pioneer
Homes) located at 809 Kipling."
Mr. Del Ferro advised the Board that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 1st renewal for
Pioneer Homes.
Renewal
Centex Homes
(Agenda Item X)
Acting Chairman Nolan read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Renewal - Consider 4th renewal for Class 4 off-site Sign for Centex Homes located
at the northwest comer of F.M. 2170 and Malone Road."
Mr. Del Ferro advised that the sign is in good repair; however, has a minor need for
alignment.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 4th renewal
for Centex Homes.

OTHER BUSINESS:
The Board reviewed the Class 4 signs issued during the past month.
Staff advised the Board that the Appreciation Banquet is scheduled for December 21, 1993.
Board Member Chenoweth made note of the fact that the text portion of the Ordinance does
not an allowance for Class 2 Window Signs in the Retail District, although it is noted in the
tables. Staff advised this would be corrected.
ADJOURN:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Chenoweth and a second by Board Member
Black, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the November 9,
1993, meeting of the Sign Control Board at 8:00 p.m.
These minutes approved this 14th day of December, 1993.
