Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present With a quorum present, Keep Allen Beautiful Regular Meeting was called to order by Co -Chair Pat Buckley at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in the First Floor Council Conference Room at City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, One Allen Civic Plaza, Allen, Texas. 2. Introduction of Guests No guests were present. 3. Approve October 19, 2004 and November 16, 2004 Minutes MOTION: Motion made by Ron Wheless to approve October 19, 2004 minutes as they stand. Dan Jenkins seconded the motion. Minutes were approved by acclamation. MOTION: Motion made by Ron Wheless to approve November 16, 204 minutes with corrections. Dan Jenkins seconded the motion. Minutes were approved by acclamation. 4. Financial ReportBudeet Current balance in the KAB checking account is $7,928.00. 5. Parks and Recreation Update Susan Campbell presented information about Arbor Day plans on April 9 at Stacy Ridge Park, Trees for Allen delivery plans and KAB participation. 6. KAB Events • Christmas Tree Recycling Report • Adopt -a -Highway and Smartscapes Month — March Proclamations will be presented to KAB for these items at the February 22 Council meeting. KTB Award Nominations for 2005 Discussion of individuals, groups and information needed for the KTB Awards and the Governor's Award entries in May. 8. Adopt-a-Hiehwav Discussion of letters of compliance to groups not reporting or picking up their adopted sites. Discussion of March Adopt -a -Highway month and proclamation from the Mayor in February. Discussion of changes to adopting policy, charges for adoption, restrictions to adoption. 9. Old Business Discussion of single -stream recycling program and blue bins. 10. Items of Interest to the Board Discussion of Governor's Award initiatives. 9. Adiourn The regular session of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board was adjourned at 8:10 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2005.
