HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - Keep Allen Beautiful Board - 1997 - 09/10 - Special Called(Agenda Item I) With a quorum of the Board present, the Keep Allen Beautiful Board Special Called Workshop meeting was called to order on Wednesday September 10, 1997, in the Lake Side Club House, Bethany Lakes Park. Plan and Schedule Work Duties for Texas Recycles Day Event 11/15/97 (Agenda Item 11) Phil Lakin gave the Board the Standing Committee appointments they are below 1. Business and Industry - Melissa Owen, Phillip Lakin 2. Communications - Pat Buckley 3. Community Organizations - Lonnie Simmons 4. Education - Heidi Smalley 5 Finance and Fundraising - Beverly Wortham 6. Neighborhood Associations - Sandy Sanders Heidi suggests that we call this event Allen Clean Up or Allen Recycles Day The reason for is because the April event is called a Trash -Off. Our registration start time will be at 8:00 a.m. on the 15' At registration the Board will collect permission slips, get groups together, hand out bags, etc. Before volunteers leave to pickup trash, they can get their refreshments. Edie, with help from Heidi will work on the Action Plan sheet, they will fill in the work assignments of who is suppose to be responsible for each item. Each person was given several items to follow-up and work on. If for some reason you need help with any of your job duties, please let fellow Board members know Our goal is for a great event, if you need help please ask. Heidi will be contacting all the Earth Fest Vendors to get them out to our event. She is going to ask most of the vendors that were at the last trash -off. If she needs help with calling or anything for the Earth Fest she will let us know We have a great deal of work ahead of us. We will schedule another workshop sometime in October.
