Meeting Room. They will wait to move until after the library's summer reading program is
over. The library board toured the meeting room to view the proposed layout and George
Connor also led a group around the existing Council chambers to compare the size and lay -out.
ID. The minutes from the March 5, 1996 meeting were reviewed. Dora Vanous suggested the
minutes I include that the topic of the NETLS meeting was "fundraising." Sharon Curtis moved
and Eric Liepins seconded for approval of the minutes as corrected.

summary for review, as well as items from the suggestion box. An increase in foot traffic and
the total items checked out were noted. Suggestion box items were read and discussed.

presentation to the City Council regarding the library board's concerns about the council's move
to the Library Meeting Room. Other Library Board members are encouraged to attend the
council meeting.
VI. Other Business. A representative from Bloodcare would like to come speak to the library board
at the next meeting so Barbam will arrange that. Barbara also reported that she attended the
Public Library Association National Conference in Portland, OR last week and shared
information about that conference with the board members. The board also discussed the
possibility of a combination high school/city public library for Allen as has been discussed by
the High School for the Future committee. Barham serves on that committee and will continue
to provide information in that regard.
