AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY
TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY LIMITS AND
GRANTING TO ALL THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORY ALL
THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING
SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS, ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF.
WHEREAS, application having been duly made for annexing
said territory to the City of Allen, Texas, which application is
in the form of a petition duly and legally executed and filed
with the Mayor of the City of Allen, Texas, and the Mayor,
having certified the same to the Council of the City of Allen,
Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Allen has investigated
into and determined that all of the facts contained in said`
petition are true; and
WHEREAS, all legal notices required for annexation have
been given in the manner and form set forth by law -and a public
hearing has been held on the proposed annexation and all other
requirements of notice and completion of such annexation
procedures being fulfilled; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen has
investigated and determined that it will be advantageous and
beneficial to the City of Allen and its inhabitants as well as
the hereinafter described territory to annex such territory to
the City of Allen, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS:

Section 1: That the territory described as follows and all
public street, roads and alleyways located within or contiguous
to same, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Allen,
Texas, to -wit:
BEING a tract or parcel of land out of the John Davis
Survey, Abstract No. 255, Collin County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the East line of a County Road that
is South 86 deg 49 min East 22.5 feet from the Southwest corner
of a 2.792 acre tract which was conveyed to the State of Texas
by deed recorded in Volume 515, Page 198, Deed Records of Collin
County, Texas;
THENCE NORTH 46 deg 35 min 30 sec East, 68.7 feet to a
point in the South line of F. M. Road 2170;
THENCE SOUTH 86 deg 49 min East along the said South line
of F. M. Road 2170, a distance of 138.7 feet to the beginning of
a curve to the left in said line;
THENCE Easterly along said curve to the left, which has a
radius of 5,744.8 feet and a central angle of 3 deg 56 min a
distance of 396.42 feet to the end of said curve;
THENCE NORTH 89 deg 15 min East, along the South line of
said F. M. Road No. 2170 a distance of 320.0 feet for a corner;
THENCE SOUTH, 467.0 feet for a corner;
THENCE WEST 467.0 feet for a corner;
THENCE SOUTH 530.06 feet for a corner;
THENCE WEST 437.62 feet to a point in the East line of
County Road, which is 22.5 feet from the E. line of David Wetsel
Survey, Abstract No. 977;
THENCE NORTH 961.78 feet along the said East line of County
Road to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; and
CONTAINING 15 acres of land.
SECTION 2: That from and after the passage of this
Ordinance, said territory shall be a part of the City of Allen,
Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all of
the rights, privileges and immunities of all other citizens of
the City of Allen, Texas, and shall be bound by all of the
Ordinances and regulations enacted pursuant to and in conformity
with the general laws of the State of Texas.
SECTION 3: That should any part of this Ordinance, or of
the use created herein affecting the aforementioned property, be

declared unconstitutional or invalid by a Court of competent
jurisdiction, it is expressly provided that any and all
remaining portions and those provided for within this Ordinance
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: The caption of this Ordinance shall be
published one time in a weekly newspaper published in the City
of Allen and shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
such publication.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS, on this 2nd day of September 1976.
