Present : Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: Dan Strong, Bob Lowman, C.D. Whitaker,
Mack Holloway and LeRoy Ewen.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr George Abney and Norman Smith, representing the OKC
Corporation was present and presented a request for the approval
of a Zoning change on a portion of the property they now own
in the event the property is annexed to the City. The proposed
Zoning would be for 100 acres of this property to be zoned for
a Mobile Home Park. At this date a public hearing was scheduled
for the hearing on the annexation of this property along with
the proposed zoning change, before a joint meeting of the City
Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Since the time
of this hearing date was set a question arose as to the exact
boundry line between the City of Allen and the City of Plano.
Since there is to be a joint meeting between the City of Allen
and the City of Plano Officials, scheduled for December 30, 1969,
to try and come to an agreement on the exact boundry lines to the
two cities; Council agreed to table this matter untill the meet-
ing between them and Plano. Mayor Dugger also welcomed two members
of the City of Plano Planning and Zoning Commission who were present
for this hearing.
Jack Parsons and John Gibson, who is Mr Parsons Engineer,
appeared before Council and presented an alternate proposal on
the drainage situtation in the Hillside Village Addition. Council
agreed to accept this proposed change subject to the approval of
Walter Hicks the City Engineer,
Motion Dan Strong Second Bob Lowman that bills presented be
approved and paid . Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Dan Strong that Ordinance be drawn
annexing the entire road right of way along U.S. 75 from Stacy
Road north to the intersection of State Highway 121. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Council decided that since the next Regular meeting date
would come on January 1 to postpone their meeting date till Jan-
uary 8, 1970.
Motion made and seconded that Council adjourn.
These minutes read and approved this the 8 day of January 1970
