Home My WebLink AboutR-326-1-81RESOLUTION NO. 326 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 1 ACRE OF LAND FROM MORTON REALTY ASSOCIATES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO EFFECT PURCHASE OF THAT PROPERTY. WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of purchasing land for the purpose of constructing a Fire Substation for the effective operations of city government, and to purchase additional land for the future development of city facilities; and WHEREAS, the citizens of Allen have overwhelmingly approved a three (3) year bond program which authorized the purchase of said property; and WHEREAS, bond funds currently exist in an amount necessary to purchase said property. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Allen hereby authorizes the purchase of 1 acre of property from Morton Realty Associates out of the Peter Fisher Survey, Abstract No. 324 and being more particularly described as lying west of Allen Heights Drive and south of Exchange Parkway. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Allen hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute all contracts and make such payments as necessary to secure ownership of said tract.
