Presents Mayor Frank Dogger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Robert E. Lowman, Johnny Pannell &
Johnnie Blankenship.
Absent: Clifford Hart.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
Public hearing was held on the request of Neil I. Holm for the annexation
of the remainder of Hillside village Addn. to the Corporate Limits of the City.
There was no opposition present to oppose this annexation. Motion C.D. Whitaker
Second Bob Lowman that Ordinance No. 117, approving the annexation of this prop-
erty, be adopted. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 118 be adopted
rezoning Lots 1-2-3-4&5 - Block 28 - Old Donation and all of Block N3 - J.M.
Whisenant Addition from "B" Classifaction to "F" Classifaction. Notion Carried
4 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that billspresented be approved,
with the exception of the bill on the repair of Police Car. Motion Carried 4
For 0 Against. After an explanation by Chief Burton on the repairing of the
Police Car a Motion by Bob Lowman Seconded by Johnny Pannell to amend the
original motion to include the payment on the repairing of the Police Car be
included in the bills approved. Motion Carried 4 For o Against.
Jack Hammett and Jack Decatur appeared before Council in regard to the
drainage problem that exists on their property. Council agreed to contact
the City Engineer and also the Railroad to try and relieve this situation.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C. D. Whitaker that all expenditures made by
the City in excess of $100.00 have the approval of Council and a purchase
order made. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Johnnie Blankenship that the minimum fine
on dogs running loose be increased from $5.00 to $10.00. Motion Carried 3 For
2 Against. Voting For Johnny Pannell, Johnnie Blankenship & Frank Dagger, Against
C.D. Whitaker & Bob Lowman.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lawman that meeting adjourn. Motion
Carried 4 For 0 Against.
