Councilman: Clifford Hart, Johnnie Blankenship, Bob Lowman, C.D.
Whitaker and Johnny Pannell.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Mr. J.D. Buchanan appeared before Council to present a Resoluation adopting
the results of the Water & Sewer Bond Election held on January 15th. Motion
Johnnie Blahkenship Second Johnny Pannell that Resoluation be adopted approving
said Water & Sewer Bond Election results. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that Ordinances No. 119 & 120
be approved changing the zoning on two tracts of land in Hillside Village
Addition. Motion Qarried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that bills presented be approved.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Jack Cook of the engineering firm of Cook & Huitt, appeared and presented
for Council's approval a preliminary plat on High Meadows Addition N2. Council
gave tentative approval of this plat subject to the Approval by the Planning
and Zoning Commission.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that a street sign be placed
on the street running in front of property owned by Charles Guede. This street
to be known as Boyd Place. Council also felt that the City Could hot participate
in the paving of this street. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Pat Kirkland appeared and spoke to Council of a problem that exists at
his apartment complex on Boyd Drive. The wash and garbage area building is
constructed 6 inches out in the right of way of Bonham Drive. Mr. Kirkland
asked if the City would give him an easemnent or sell 6 or 7 inches of the
street right of way so as to prevent him from having to move this building.
Council advised Mr. Kirkland to contact the City Attorney and have the necessary
papers drawn at his expense, and return to the City Hall to be signed.
Ordinance No 121 was drawn and adopted for this problem.
Council appointed Bill Enloe to contact the Commissioners Court as to the
naming of all existing unnamed roads in the jurisdiction of the City.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second Bob Lowman thag a remote radio transmitter
and receiver be installed in the Municipal Building. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second Johnny Pannell that City hire an animal
Warden for a 1 month trial period. Employee is to be paid $2.50 per hour based
on 4 hours work per week. City will furnish employee i pair of coveralls and
a vehicle. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that Tim ""diff be given
a 10% pay increase efecctive as of January 1, 1972, Motion Carried 5 For 0
Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that meeting be adjourned.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
