City Council, City of Allen
Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Clifford Hart, Johnnie Blankenship
& Johnny Pannell.
Absent : None.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that minutes of previous meeting be
approved as read. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against.
Rod Parr appeared before Council along with other citizens from Hillside Village
and read a petition signed by residents along Wandering Way Drive that listed
some of the problems that existed in this neighborhood. Mayor assured these
people that the City would be responsibly for the repairing of the alley behind
Wandering Way Drive as soon as the weather permits, also Council would pass an
Ordinance regulating the speed limit t� 20 miles per hour on all streets in the
Hillside Village Addition.
Mr & Mrs Ray Berg appeared before Council and spoke of a problem that
exists with the sewer line at his property on Anna Drive. Council agreed to look
at this problem and see if some solvation could be worked out as to the solving
of this problem.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that a Resoluation be adopted
giving the Mayor and City Secretary the authorization to sign contract and all
docuemnets necessary to secure water from the North Texas Municipal
Water District. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that Council authorise J.D.
Buchanan to sell $1, 500,000.00 worth of Water & Sewer Bonds. Motion Carried 5
For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that an Election be called for
April 1 for the election of two Councilmen and Mayor. Motion Carried 5 For 0
Against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second Johnny Pannell that bills presented
be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C. D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that Start Shell Servide and
Moon Texaco be used for the City Wrecker Service. Starr Shell to begin with the
month of February and each month thereafter be taken on an alternate basis. Each
concern is to furnish to the City proof of Bond and Liability Insurance. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second C.D. Whitaber that meeting adjourn.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
