A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, TO AMEND THE CITY OF ALLEN
THOROUGHFARE PLAN TO ESTABLISH ALIGNMENT FOR PORTIONS
OF RIDGEVIEW DRIVE AND STACY ROAD, AND DIRECTING THAT IT
BE USED BY CITY BOARDS, COMMISSION, AND STAFF.
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the City of Allen Thoroughfare Plan
as a part of the Comprehensive Plan adopted the 21st day of March, 1985; and,
WHEREAS, the general alignment of future Ridgeview Drive and Stacy Road
have been identified but not by metes and bounds; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to intersect Ridgeview
Drive with Custer at a point already constructed by the City of Plano to
accommodate regional traffic; and,
WHEREAS, the three major property owners affected by this relocation of
the intersection have expressed their willingness; and,
WHEREAS, the North Texas Municipal Water District will be constructing a
major water line for West Allen; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen has established a need to identify the future
alignment for Ridgeview Drive and a portion of Stacy Road to be assured the major
water line is appropriately located adjacent to the alignment; and,
WHEREAS, City staff has studied the effect of the alignment on all
properties to assure equity as well as future development sites;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Allen Thoroughfare Plan as adopted as a part of
the Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended to identify the alignment for the future
construction of a portion of Stacy Road between U.S. 75 and S.H. 121 and a
portion of future Ridgeview Drive between future Stacy Road and F.M. 2478
( Custer Road) .
SECTION 2. Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes shall constitute the alignment for these roadways for future construe -
tion.

SECTION 3. City Council directs that all boards and commissions, and
city staff use the information attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and disseminate that
information to all interested parties.
