A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELEC-
TION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN HELD ON JANUARY 18, 1992.
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of an election held on the 18th day
of January, 1992, for the purpose of voting for or against a proposition allowing for the
adoption of a sales and use tax for the promotion and development of new and expanded
business enterprises at the rate of 1/2 of one percent in the City of Allen, and it
appears from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said City
election 1858 valid and legal votes tallied as follows:

"FOR" The adoption of a sales and 1112

business enterprises at the

"AGAINST" The adoption of a sales and 746
use tax for the promotion and
development of new and expanded
business enterprises at the
rate of 1/2 of one percent.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: Said election was duly called, that notice of said election was given in
accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law, and that
the proposition allowing for "the adoption of a sales and use tax for the promotion and
development of new and expanded business enterprises at the rate of 1 / 2 of one percent
was approved.
SECTION 2: It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of
this governing body, the City Secretary posted written notice of the date, place and
subject of this meeting on the bulletin board located in the City Hall, a place convenient
and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having been so posted and
remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said
meeting.
SECTION 3: It is of further necessity that the City Secretary be hereby authorized to
notify the State Comptroller's Office by certified or registered mail by sending a
certified copy of this resolution along with a map of the municipality clearly showing its
boundaries in accordance with Section 321.405 of Title 3, Local Taxation Code.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 22ND DAY OF JANUARY, 1992.
