City Council, City of Allen
Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Clifford Hart, Johnnie
Blankenship & Johnny Pannell.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against.
Mr & Mrs Charles Pritchard appeared before Council seeking approval on
the replating of two lots in the Rock Creek Estates Addn. Motion Clifford Hart
Second Johnny Pannell that plat be approved as revised. Motion Carried 5 For
0 Against.
Correspondence was presented to Council concerning the dis-annexation
of property owned by Oliver Daniel from the Corporate Limits of the City of
Plano. An Ordinance approving this dis-annexation from the City of Plano was
presented to Council, along with a request from Mr. Daniel asking that his
property be annexed by the City of Allen. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny
Pannell that September 7th be set as date for Public Hearing on Mr. Daniel's
request. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Bill Brazeal appeared before Council as spokesman for a group of property
owners just South of the Oliver Daniels Property asking the City of Allen to
provide water service to them. Several lettere were presented to Council by
Mr. Brazeal from the property owners involved seeking this service. A letter
�! was presented from the City of Plano asking the City of Allen to provide water
®3 service to this people even though they were in the Corporate Limits of the
City of Plano. Council agreed to work •ith this group on this project.
Motion C.D. Whitater Second Johnny Pannell that the Final Plat on Roll-
ing Hills Estate be approved subject to bhanges reccomended by the City Engineer.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that Final Plat on Windridge
#2 be approved subject to approval by the City Engineer. Motion Carried 5 For
0 Against.
Request for annexation on 4.468 acres in the McBain Jamison Survey was
received from the HBB Corporation. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman
that September 7th be set as date for Public Hearing on this request. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that City Attorney be instructed
to notify Counsel for Forest Grove Estates property owners that Council will
further pursue the annexation proceedings on the Jerry W. Burton request at
the Council Meeting scheduled for September 21st. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that the Tax Roll for 1972 be approved
ae presented by the Assessor & Collector of Taxes and the Tax Rate for 1972 be set
at $ 1.25 per $ 100.00 assessed valuation. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that bills presented be app-
roved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.

Certificates of Recognition were presented to Charles Fowler, David Thom
and Ed Henderson for serving as City Officials duringthe observance of Youth
Day during the Centenial.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Johnnie Blankenship that a Tranqualiaer Gun
be purchased and the Police Department be instructed to pick up all dogs that
are loose. Motion Carried 4 For 1 Against. (Clifford Hart voted No).
Motion Clifford Hart Second Johnnie Blankenship that A.C. Story be given
a months gross salary on his retirement. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that Bob Montgomery be hired as
City Secretary upon the resignsyion of A.C. Story, for a 90 day probationary
period at a salary of $ 450.00 per month. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that Vertries Richardson
be granted a $25.00 per month Salary increase effective September 15.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that meeting adjourn. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
