Johnnie Blankenship.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that minutes of previous meeting be
approved as read. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Request by Tom Cate for rezoning Lots 3B -4B - Block 15 - Old Donation from
R-16 Classifaction to OC Classifaction ( specific use as a car wash) was untabled
for discussion by Council. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that
request on this property be denied. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that request to rezone the
above mentioned property from R-16 Classifaction to IR be approved. Motion
Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 73 be
amended on the number and appointment of members to the Library Board.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Public Hearing was held on the annexation request of Stella Kanelos
to annex 17.208 acres of land into the Corporate Limits of the City. There was
on opposition present to oppose this request. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford
Hart that Ordinance No. 141 be approved annexing this property. Motion Carried
5 For 0 Against,
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that Ordinance No. 142 be approved
changing the zoning on Lots 2A -2B - Block H - Old Donation from R-16 to IR (specific
use for a plant nursery). Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 143 be approved
rezoning Lots 2B-3A-4A-5-8A-9A-lOA - Block 15 - Old Donation from R-16 to IR
Classifaction. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 144 be approved
changing the zoning on Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 - Block 7 - Fountain Park #2 - Lot 1
14 - Fountain Park #2 from Y-16 to R-4 Classifaction. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No 145 be approved
changing the zoning on 50.507 acres Fountain Park Third Section from R-4 to R-5
Classifaction. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 146 be approved
changing the zoning on 9.483 acres of land in Fountain Park #304 from R-16 to
R-5 zoning. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell thtt Ordinance No. 147 be approved
changing the zoning on 44.544 acres of land in Fountain Park #4 from R-4 to R-5
Classifaction. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Clifford Hart Second Johnnie Blankenship that bills presented be app-
roved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Joe Perks appeared before Council and presented quotations on moving the
backstops at the Little League Park from their present location to the North side
of the tract of land owned by the City. Council felt that the Cityy was not in
position to undertake this project at this time. Mr Perks agreed to serve another
?.I
term as Baseball Commissioner at a fee of $1$0.00 per year. Council also authorized
repairs that are needed on the back stops for this years operation.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that only teams made up from boys and
girls living in the City Limits or attending the Allen School System be permitted to
play on these City Fields with the exception of teams playing other teams in League
Play. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Jhhnrny Mayo and Jesse Sabala appeared before Council in regards to a drainage
situation along with conditions of the alley running behind their hones on Bush
Drive. Council agreed to look into these complaints and came up with a soluation
to these problems.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that a bid be gotten on the cost of
an awning to be constructed over the front of the Police Station. Motion Carried
5 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that $25.00 per month car expense
be given vertries Richardson effective March lat. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second Bob Lowman that Ordinance #1161 from the City
of Denison be approved on the cutting of City Streets by the Utility companies
and contarctors. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that all streets in future subdivisions
with the exception of subdivisions under construction or on which the preleminary
plats have been approved, shall be constructed of concrete according to the City's
specifications. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. C.D. Whitaker abstained.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second C.D. Whitaker that meeting be adjourned.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
